its crazy how fast you can learn a language when you are immersed in it. I mean, this is way more than any French immersion I recieved when I was younger. Today I was at the bank and had a conversation with a banker who didn't speak Korean and all I had to do was tell him to slow down. I couldn't believe myself. 'Tis an ugly sounding language, however. I'd much rather be learning one of those pretty languages like Italian or Spanish.
Things I miss, in no particular order:
-eavesdropping
-dentyne ice
-real peanut butter
-real butter
-real milk
-English signage (Ican't read Korean despite having been able to speak to the banker today)
-mcdonald's breakfast
-my books
-easily accessible personal computer
-changing my iPod
-Olands
-poker
-band practice
-north river road
-family and friends go without saying
-etc.
